Reaper the TV Show Survives the Grim Reaper. Returning Next Year

So, like, it was pretty touch and go there about 2 weeks ago. It looked fairly certain that Reaper was going to be take off the air. And I was reading articles about where the cast member were going. But now, as the kids say, it’s all good. The show gets to come back next year . And I’m pretty happy about that. I loved the Loop, which also featured lead actor Bret Harrison. The Loop was set right here in Chicago (that term is also slang for the downtown area of town). Although here’s a strange coincidence; another show I liked that got canceled was Working. That show starred Fred Savage from the Wonder Years-AND, he’s from Chicago too. Hmmmm. Maybe Hollywood had a Chitown bias? Speaking of weird, Bret was actually named “Sam” on both shows. And speaking of dead shows I liked I even liked that ABC Sci-Fi show Invasion. That show of course featured as a cast member Tyler Labine who plays Sock on Reaper.

Change Your Brain and Change Your Life on PBS

Well this is clearly my year to watch PBS. I’ve watched more PBS this year than the last 5 years. Easily. I’m gonna have to send them some money this year I can tell. And this is clearly the year for PBS to tackle mental health. I think it was only a week ago I was writing about a show they aired that focused on the variations of depression. And on June 2nd they aired Dr. Dan Amen’s show they aired that focused on the variations of depression. And on June 2nd they aired Dr. Dan Amen’s Change Your Brain Change Your Life . It appears to also be one of the longest pledge drives in the history of pledge drives. I mean all of the shows I’ve been watching during the last month have been part of the drive. Well that, what you can you do? It’s public TV. As some of you regular readers know I’m doing…OK. I’ve got a lot of positive career and future prospects that would be very hard to derail-so I’ve got a look forward to, but I’m still haunted by being cheat on and left by a woman. I primarily can’t see HOW a person would do that to ME . I do everything I can for people. So I just ponder and ponder, and THAT is one of the strong points this program addresses; how to change things.

The ONLY Reason I Know About ANY Women Tennis Players is Serena’s Ass

Listen, I’m not gonna lie I’m an ass man. So I only know about tennis at ALL because of Serena’s big and POWERFUL ass. It does look like it could do things, right? Like crush cans, or pick up marbles or maybe allow her to walk without using her legs! Just butt-check walking. But I hung around and watched the games. In fact I’ve put in nearly ten YEARS of watching the women’s games (and some men games). But, as you probably already know; the men’s game is goes like this; hotshot who wins for a long time followed by another hotshot who wins all the time. And it’ll take 3 to 4 hours to do it. So it’s a boring, unsexy, waste of time. Time I don’t have. So I started watching women’s tennis. And you know, almost unanimously they’re all good looking and you can expect something weird to happen. Like the awesome Hantuchova’s break down, or the Hingis stabbing, or the risqué modeling of Kournikova, or the flat out upcoming Playboy spread with Harkleroad. Plus they play tennis too, somewhere in there. Seriously I DO watch the tennis part too.Check out the photo…

The Venture Brothers Finally Made it Back to TV June 1 2008. SHHhhhh! Also Online Tonight

Wow! Well that only took like a Goddamn year! I mean Jesus, work with us out here. It’s been like a year since they killed off the venture brothers. So the big question is; how do you make a comeback when they main characters are dead?

Depression Help Options Covered by PBS Special

Depression Out of the Shadows aired here on local PBS channel WTTW Chicago on May 21, 2008. I stayed home and watched. It hasn’t been quite a year yet since the “event” in my life that took me into a depression spiral that this blog is pretty much a byproduct of. Having the type of deep pain that literally makes you cease functioning in a normal way is what people in the profession categorize clinical depression. But I didn’t get help. I “self medicated.” And before you start jumping to conclusions, it was with vitamins. And it’s hard to believe but I wrote this piece about what actually worked a full SIX MONTHS AGO. Wow! But here’s the really awful thing about depression ; I’m better today, and I can function, but the “trigger” event and all the bad feelings about it are still so fresh in my mind it is as if NO time has passed at all. I still spend a good part of every day, despite how mind crushingly busy I am, in my head going over the events, the fallout, the ramifications and the causes that in MY mind really destroyed my life. That’s depression. I know I’ve got it. AND, I refuse to get help. So the PBS special on depression took a very inclusive selection of Americans to give their story.
