I had a fine deep dish pizza the other day from my favorite place; Gino’s East. I’ve never actually seen the “West” version but maybe it’s out there somewhere…

At any rate, deep dish, I’ve heard actually got it’s start at Pizzeria Uno many years ago-but Gino’s today is pretty much the most well known. Uno’s used to have franchises outside the city, for instance I could grab a pie in LA a few years ago, but that seems to have gone down the path to extinction.
